Edge Computing Solutions in the UAE

Solution

Edge Computing

Processing and AI inference on site, close to where data is created. Available from CoreFlux in Bur Dubai to businesses, resellers, system integrators and individual buyers, with delivery across the UAE and GCC.

Edge Computing

What problem does it solve?

Many real-time decisions cannot wait for a round trip to the cloud, and remote sites must keep working when the link drops.

What does CoreFlux deliver?

  • Rugged, fanless edge hardware
  • On-device AI inference
  • Devices that support remote management

Frequently asked questions

What is edge computing?

Edge computing means processing data on or near the site where it is generated, rather than sending everything to a central data centre or the cloud. It reduces latency and bandwidth use and keeps sites running when the network is unavailable.

What is the difference between edge computing and cloud computing?

The cloud is best for large-scale storage, model training and analytics across many sites. The edge handles time-sensitive processing on site. Most solutions use both, with the edge sending results and summaries to the cloud.

Can AI models run at the edge?

Yes. Trained models can run on edge devices with GPU or NPU acceleration for video analytics, inspection and other inference tasks. Training normally stays in the data centre or cloud.

What hardware works in hot, dusty UAE sites?

Fanless, sealed industrial PCs and gateways with a wide operating temperature range are the usual choice. Check the rated range against the temperature inside the enclosure, which can be well above the outside air.

Can we test an edge solution before rolling it out?

You can request a proof of concept through our Experience Centre. Tell us about the workload and site conditions, and we will discuss what can be evaluated before a wider deployment.
