What is the difference between an HPC cluster and a GPU server?
A GPU server is a single machine. An HPC cluster links many servers, which may include GPU servers, through a fast interconnect and shared storage, so large jobs can run across all of them in parallel.
Should we choose InfiniBand or Ethernet for our cluster?
InfiniBand is widely used for latency-sensitive, tightly coupled simulation. High-performance Ethernet suits many mixed and AI workloads and fits easily into existing networks. The right choice depends on your codes, scale and budget, and our pre-sales team can help you compare.
Do we need a parallel file system?
If many nodes read and write large files at the same time, as in most simulation workloads, a parallel file system stops storage becoming the bottleneck. Smaller clusters with lighter I/O can often use simpler shared storage.
Can CoreFlux supply a complete cluster?
